The strength of a language does not lie in rejecting what is foreign but
in assimilating it. -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, poet, dramatist,
novelist, and philosopher (1749-1832)
Hi Pat and Corrine have had
an eventful trip so far, lots of driving Yellowstone was very busy,
didn't realize that Sturgis was on this week so the park was right full
of bikers. It took a very long time to get into the park as we missed a
turn and went in through Red Lodge over the Bear Tooth, quite a road
Judy was terrified I was surprised a Kiwi would be afraid of a high
narrow goat path but she's probably afraid of sheep as well. Then drove
to Kalispell and Columbia Falls another reasonably long drive but we've
had two days to chillax which we needed. Our plan is to leave Meadow
Lake before ten so that puts us at your place sometime time around eight
look forward to seeing you will call once across the border. Cheers Dallas and Judithness
Hi Dallas! Great! Look forward to seeing you. Travel safely. Fondestos from Cora Lee to you both. Cheers, Patrizzio!
Greetings Judithness, Dallasino, Gianna, Dom Marcello and Mme Coriandre!
I
trust all goes well at The Burns Street Watering Hole! Had a very good
drive down the Hope-Princeton. Stopped at Keremeos for 20 lbs of
cherries. Started to rain, reasonably heavily, at the south end of
Manning Park and didn't really let up until Bridal Falls where I
stopped for gas, and a dozen Chilliwack cobs of corn.
Made
for MEC to buy some Nuun tablets before hitting Harbour Terrace.
Unloaded my possessions and then took car into Coastal. Flamin' arrived
just before I left as she "claimed" she had work to do at home, although
Sarge and I believe she didn't think he could take care of Avery by
himself! Kid Chelene was here, when I arrived, with a number of other colleagues from work, en route to a stag for a fellow member. Beckster is
working. I believe Avery will spend the night.
I
was planning to "attack' my backlog of email while waiting for tires to
be changed but ended up talking to a salesman, Jaimie Reynolds, about a
new car. Will fill you in on details when back but thought it was a
good opportunity to, at the very least, begin process, in terms of vehicle type,
trade-in, etc. Will chat with Chloƫ about "her" car this evening. She
will be coming for dinner after her massage/acupuncture. Not sure
which.
JT
is here with Brooklyn and will stay for dinner as well. The two young
ladies are having a ball playing together. Flamin' is cooking salmon and
has made a wonderful Quinoa salad, with tomatoes, Feta, cukes, etc.
Blueberry crumble for dessert. I picked up a 2013 19Crimes, Victoria,
Shiraz/Durif, 14.5%, so looking forward to tasting it as I don't think
I've had this offering before. Must away as I'm being accused of being
anti-social but did want to send along greetings to one and all. I trust
Dallas has already installed both the air-conditioner and the in-house
vacuum. Water barrels are next! Some shelving would be nice, but only if
he has time!!!! Hope your cold is better, Dom M. Fondestos from Clan
Sutherland and Trueman Freeloaders. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Zucchini Dildo! From Newfoundland?
