If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and the
fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to
be applied is more speech, not enforced silence. -Louis Dembitz Brandeis,
lawyer, judge, and writer (1856-1941)
It's a shallow life that doesn't give a person a few scars. -Garrison Keillor, radio host and author (b. 7 Aug 1942)
Chloe Alexis Dunn shared Samantha Seals's photo. Congratulations Samantha Seals and Alex Prince, my nephew got engaged to the loveliest girl ever!!! Patrick James Dunn
Alex must really love Samantha as I'm sure Alex was quite worried about
getting sand in his dress shoes and on his suit. I'm rather surprised
he didn't have a beach towel on which to kneel while proffering his
love. Guess he had strategically placed petals. Perhaps he should be a
film director with such impeccable feel for capturing a moment! Bravo
and Hip Hip Hooray from very proud grandparents!
Both Cora Lee and I are truly delighted that you were able to visit in spite of our sketchy hospitality. Do hope that you will be back, in the not too, too distant future when, after abusing you again, (We'll find something, don't worry!), we'll be able to do some wine-tasting with Dallas as the designated driver! After he chauffeurs us around to at least 17 wineries, and we are back, safely, at Burns Street, he and I can stroll over to Cannery Brewing and he can drink his fill there! Travel safely. Fondestos from Mme Coriandre, now up and eating one of the few peaches that you managed to forget, along with your clothes! All the very best to the rest of Clan Kenton. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Friday night, before tacos and mini-doughnuts, for the lucky few!
Sorry pat and Corrine. I believe we left a bag of laundry in the room. To far away now to turn around so will have to get it another time. If you have any visitors from or way maybe we could arrange to meet them somewhere to collect it. Once again thanks for the lovely visit and talk to you soon. The forgetful Gray's Maybe I could get you to pop It in the mail and I will send you a check for all your troubles
Hello Foregtfullness Judithness and Skol Scammster! We'll be back in Manitoba next summer. Is that soon enough? Clothes should have cleaned themselves by then. We plan on burying them in our compost bin until we are back from India in December!
Lady Mary is not amused! We'll put them on the Greyhound. What is best address? Hamiota? Brandon? Don't worry about exorbitant shipping costs This just means that Dallas has to come back and install the in-house vacuum, hook up the rain barrels and replace all the fencing. He can't be all that busy anyway, now that he and Kjell have solved the "Russian Problem!" Once again, enjoy all the purloined peaches. Travel safely. Cheers, Laundry's in the Mail" Patrizzio!
PS: In case you didn't know, Dirty Laundry is the name of a winery, in Summerland, near the Kettle Valley Railroad. (There is now a reconditioned steam locomotive which pulls a couple of passenger cars, taking tourists for a short spin, during the summer months.), Chinese laundry doubled as a brothel, hence the name! Pics: Joy Road Catering; menu; juiceheads; one of courses, (Not as good as tacos!); Shadow Chief on hills behind Orofino.
Dear Dom Jugos! Obviously, "I'm not getting married on Monday afternoon, so don't worry about getting me to the Church of Bridge on time!" I'll just lick my wounds while Cora Lee pours rock salt into them!
Wonderful time last night so thanks for chauffeur duty, Dom Pedro. You obviously have a future with Grape Escapes! The Danes are still asleep. Judy and Dallas left at just after 6:00 am so helped them load their car and waved goodbye. Shortly after they drove off I discovered a bag of dirty laundry they left behind.
Have to get ready to head to the Market as Ruthless and Ricardo will be arriving, from Little Shuswap, in the early afternoon so want to be home to ready their room. Hot Sheets Hotel! Travel safely, Dom Bridger. We'll probably see Lynne over the coming week. Cheers, Patrizzio!
More snapolas! Ayn/Chloƫ: Dino and Simon, drivers for Grape Escapes, shuttle service. Dino owns business, Simon drove our bus.
Yet more snapolas! Note The Chief! Shadow on the magnificent hills behind Orofino Winery. Will show this to the Squamoids, arriving for the night as Leah is having a huge "young person's" party at their cabin on Little Shuswap so they have been banned! To add insult to injury we wine-country dwellers spit on The Chief from Squamish since we have our own Similkameen version!!!!
Left about 2:00 pm to go I went for a great ride out to Naramata, towards Chute Lake. Circled back through the village on way home and I thought I was loosing air in my rear tire just before going down the hill into village itself. Fully beleived I would have to call Cora Lee to come and rescue me but I did manage to limp home. Fierce, fierce head wind all the way along Naramata Road. Tire was barely inflated when I pulled into back driveway so very, very fortunate that I didn't have to touch The Dreaded Burning Ground! (Wanted to take it in to The Bike Barn, (They sell Trek bikes.), as soon as I was back but shop is closed until Tuesday!) Stats for ride:

Friends Ruth and Rick, were in kitchen with Maggie and Mme Coriandre when I arrived so after greeting them I had a quick shower and adults went wine-tasting on The Naramata Bench. Managed to hit Moraine, Poplar Grove and Perseus before everything closed! Back home to have appetizers and dinner on the patio. Wind was really gusting so fire pit flame kept going out. Thought we might have a violent thunderstorm but nothing other than gale force winds. developed.
Hello Oleg! My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful tasting at your winery today. You mentioned, at the time, that perhaps I could obtain a couple of bottles of Viognier. However, we have friends visiting this weekend so we were planning to take them wine-tasting and could pop by Moraine if this makes things a bit easier for you. Thanks again. Cheers, Patrizzio!
you live in Penticton not Vancouver!!! Hello Email Police! Easy to make such a mistake when you drink a case of Moraine Viognier! Hello Dunn It was pleasure meeting you Personally will be traveling this weekend but will leave couple bottles of viognier for you in tasting room Cheers Oleg Hello again, Oleg! Thank you very much for taking the trouble to leave the two bottles of Viognier at the winery. Much appreciated. It was a delight to meet you and to savour your marvellous wines. I trust we will see you again, in the not too, too distant future. Enjoy your travels this weekend. Cheers, Patrizzio!
