There are two kinds of truth: the truth that lights the way and the
truth that warms the heart. The first of these is science, and the
second is art. Neither is independent of the other or more important
than the other. Without art, science would be as useless
as a pair of high forceps in the hands of a plumber. Without science,
art would become a crude mess of folklore and emotional quackery. The
truth of art keeps science from becoming inhuman, and the truth of
science keeps art from becoming ridiculous. -Raymond

Hello Cornwall! What a delight to hear from you. Where are you? In Calgary? Trust everyone is well. Up this morning feeling very well myself. Was worried that my back might have been sore as many of the pieces were not only very heavy but awkward to manoeuvre.
At any rate, I did a few kitchen chores and readied a pot of java in anticipation of visit from Denise and Bill Gross, friends from Vancouver, up in Naramata, for a week, who wanted to come by to see our new home. They arrived just after 10:00 am and we spent almost two hours, chatting while sipping our coffee, catching-up and showing them around. They left a few minutes ago, heading into Penticton to visit a few galleries and then head out to OK Falls to do some wine-tasting. Might see them on the way there as after I have a bite of lunch I plan to go for a ride down that way. Probably don't have time for a 100 km outing as I will be going to their place for dinner tonight. Not overly warm today so am pleased about that, leaving as I will around 1:00 pm.
Must away as my endless list of chores seems to be growing rather than shrinking and my coming ride will not help me reduce much of what needs o be done! Take care of each other. Fondestos and Cheers, Sad and Lonely, (Hee Hee), Patrizzio! Pic: Wood pile!
Hi Chloƫ: Here is Ricardo's work email and Keating's number. Must away! Love, Dad! Headed out around 2:00 pm to do the Lakeshore/Naramata Bench Loop. Lovely day with a bit of cloud cover so not overly hot. Turned around just past the turn-off to Naramata Village and retraced my route, doing a fairly extensive set of dipsy-doodles off Lower Bench Road, a part of the city I'd never ridden in before.
With this ride am starting to build up a better sense of the different neighbourhoods in Penticton. Back down to Lakeshore again and then Riverside to give me my basic ride distance for the day, in part a calibration for my ride domani. Plan to head for Chute Lake first and then when I reach the gravel road which leads there turn around and make for OK Falls. Stats for ride:

This evening I had been invited to have dinner with Denise and Bill at their cabin, rented from Deep Roots Winery. Wonderful meal, (twice-baked potatoes and succulent, thick-cut pork ribs), wonderful wine and stupendous view!
Hi there we are almost settled at our interim home in Ignace Ontario. It was a whirlwind move - as think I told you; the new owners wanted an early possession date that we agreed to. I thought I had it handled until the 40ft container arrived on Friday to take our stuff! thank G that they left the container until Sunday - as Henryk and I frantically packed more stuff to store -- then on Monday, we began the moving of stuff into the UHAUL to bring here to the lake!!! We are slowly unpacking and getting settled. It's a beautiful location - right on the lake - an amazing view out the front windows and patio doors... Henryk is hoping that we are settled by the weekend so that we can go and get some pickerel for dinner :)
We are trying to plan the next leg of our Canadian travel and that of course means your place. We need to book our timeshare for the time prior to our staying at your place as soon as possible. Can you please confirm your travel dates? we would like to book our timeshare the week before you leave so that we both have our own space - but that we can come to visit you and get to know your place and talk about your expectations while we are there... look forward to hearing from you soon.. We will book once we hear from you thanks again, Louise and Henryk
