O innocent victims of Cupid, / Remember this terse little verse: / To
let a fool kiss you is stupid, / To let a kiss fool you is worse. -Yip

Last summer in Falcon Lake A selection of photos (just the printable ones ;-)
Bruno Hi Brunello and Chooch!
Thanks so much for the great snaps of Falcon! Fond memories indeed! Rosie-the-Riveter and Dusty will be heading back there next week, on April 17th! This Friday, we, (Durstons and Chloƫ), are off to Ryan's, (Flamin's/SArge's eldest), wedding in Kamloops on April 11th. Since it would be a bit of a tight squeeze for all five of us in one car, we plan to take two. This being the case, I am going to cram my car with as much as it will hold, along with two bikes we won't be using before we move, on the bike rack, and leave everything in the garage of close friends, Lynne/Peter, couple we will travel to India with in October.
It is an opportunity to begin decanting process and will give us a tad more room here. Perhaps more importantly, we hope to pick up some wine for the wedding weekend, before we make for Kamloop!

Cora Lee is at a Friends of VPL meeting this morning. What's new? Must away as I'm off for what I hope is a 100+ km ride. Day is gorgeous so wish to take advantage of it. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!
Pics: Last night's dinner at The French Table! Superb food and three bottles of same! My choice: Sauteed calf liver, chopped bacon, onion and parsley with butter!
Buon Giorno, Jo-Anne! Sorry I didn't reply sooner. No excuses but plenty of reasons! Yes, do pop by today. Cora Lee has a Friends of VPL meeting at 9:45 am but she should be home shortly after 11:00 am. Until she arrives, we can visit quite amicably without her, I'm sure! Looking forward to seeing you hip-hoppity-hopping along! I'll ask Mme Coriandre to park in our spot downstairs, when she returns, so give me a shout, (604-734-9200), when you are close to our place and I'll come out to let you into parkade. We have plenty of moving dollies if you need to be transported into our apartmento that way! Cheers, Patrizzio!
Pics: Easter Monday "tea" with Janet Tomkins. Her friend, (Dave Myerhoff, I believe!), joined us. He is a graduate of UBC's Fac of Ed, an elementary teacher, now working in The Bronx! Fascinating individual and remarkable story leading up to how he ended teaching there. He met Janet at Acquatic Centre on campus so we are all connected in many ways! Last night's dinner at The French Table! Superb food and three bottles of same!
Another glorious day to dipsy-doodle my way around the Olympic Village/Seawall/Granville Bridge Loop until I made for Kits Point and then UBC, via Marine. Similar dipsy-doodles on campus to do the 16th/Imperial/Camosun/Marine Loop and then home via Chancellor. Head wind not as fierce as on weekend but still had to work to to push AVG over the 20 kph mark. Pleased as punch that I was able to do so! Stats for ride:

Dad, Thank you so very munch for your generous
support!!! I'm half way to my goal and would not have made it this far
without your help!!

Hi Walker Goil! More than pleased
to help. You should suggest to organizers that there be a bike component
to event as I'm sure many would participate. Unfortunately, we will
coming back from Falcon/Winnipeg around that time, otherwise I gather
Nana would do it with you! Love, Dad!
Hi there, you're probably absorbed in moving, hope its going well. Plans taking shape, proposing for your comment: K and I visit you for a few days between Tue 15 and Friday 18 June If you travel east on 19 June, could I hitch a ride to Calgary or Edmonton (en route Wetaskiwin)? Then what day are you returning fr. Manitoba? Incidentally. Tim and Di next door launched their label at bendigo regiona wine fair last Sunday. Shiraz and Marsanne I think. Stephen
Hi Stefano and Kathleen! Sorry I've
not replied sooner but life seems to have been even more hectic, of
late, in large part complicated by upcoming move and packing, as you can
well imagine. With respect to your travel plans dovetailing with our
departure for Winnipeg, we need to leave by June 16th, at the latest, as
Durston's 70th wedding anniversary celebration is on June 19th. When we
return is more flexible so it might well be possible to collect you in
Wetaskiwin, depending on your visit dates. If you are able to come up to
Penticton earlier then we could spend a number of days/nights together.
However, I realize that you may well have other family commitments once
you arrive in Vancouver. At any rate, let us know what you think and
we'll plan accordingly.
We enjoyed a lovely extended Easter weekend. Grog and Lurch were in town from Sunday until today. They were to stay with Flamin' and Sarge but Lurch had a bad cold so thought it best to stay at GI Hotel. They took us out to The French Table, on Main and about 23rd, on Tuesday evening. Superb food and three bottles of some pretty pricey Chateauneuf-du-Pape! My choice for main was sauteed calf liver, chopped bacon, onion and parsley with butter! (Lurch ordered the same dish and I just devoured the doggy-bag overlefts for this morn's brunch!)Wednesday morning G/L were to head up to the Okanagan to spend a few days there before heading to Kamloops on Friday. Same for rest of us as we attending Prince Valiant's wedding there on Saturday. Once back, on Sunday, it is only a few days before Rosie-the-Riveter and Dusty will be heading off to Winnipeg, on April 16th. Quite a change on the horizon!
Thought I'd enclose a few snaps of Islay Inn Storage & Moving Company. Am hoping/praying that boxes in hallway will all fit into Titanium Green! Cora Lee was working on packing patio storage unit earlier this morning. Must away as I've scads of errands to run, one of which is having a haircut, (Prompted by "Or Else", threats from Cora Lee!), for wedding. Trust we are able to fit in as long a visit as possible, given everyone's busy travel schedules. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!
