Aunt Leah's Christmas Hamper Blues: Saturday, December 20th!

The only person you should ever compete with is yourself. You can't hope for a fairer match. -Todd Ruthman

Patrick, this is what you need…they were all sold out when I went to get one for you!!! Engineer's Thesis for his degree. For all you wine drinkers, I present: The Engineering Version of a corkscrew, Nothing simpler – Finally a corkscrew that is practical and convenient. www.youtube.com/embed/wSuH9u0kvhU?rel=0

Hi Jo-Anne and Colin! Glad they were all sold out as it looks quite like a devilish instrument of torture! As well, takes too long to open and pour and I'm not sure Cora Lee could wait that long! Otherwise, trust you are both well. (Hello I am currently away with a broken ankle.  I will be able to check email but sporadically. Thanks Jo-Anne An automatic reply to Jo-Anne's email just informed me she is suffering from a broken ankle! Terribly sorry to learn of your misfortune! Nasty at the best of times but what a drag at this time of year!)

Spent most of this morning and early afternoon packing hampers for Aunt Leah's. In New West where the office is located. Had to be there by 9:00 am. I left about 1:00 pm to deliver two to the families that are supported. Chloë and Cora Lee dropped off a couple before heading down to Bellingham to collect Ayn and Los Horridos, flying in from Tinsel Town. Beforehand they will stop at the home of the grandmother of one of one of Chloë's closest friends, (Katie), to pick up 9 bottles from the four cases of hootch I've stashed there. Hope to collect rest when we head down to Palm Desert in February. Staying with Lynne and Peter Lighthall who have rented a place there for a month or so.

Hope recovery is going well, Jo-Anne. Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year to one and all. Fondestos from Cora Lee to you both. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Pics: Dawn and Gerry Martin are in town and were over for dinner before we went to Heartwood. Chloë in her office and some of the other volunteers.

Hi Wine Lovers! Next item for the cabin! (See above) I'm off in an hour or so to help Flamin' set up a few tents for St. James Cottage Hospice, which is participating in the Trinity Street Christmas Light Festival , just adjacent to her work place. After that I have to dash home to shower and change and head out for a Christmas drop-in between 10th/11th, on Cranberry Drive, just off Arbutus. Not easy being an Elf with a full social calendar. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Digitale! Did Michaelo design this? (See above) Next item for the wine cellar! Trust you are both well. Will you be cruising or homebodies in early February?  Fondestos, Patrizzio!

Hello Marilyn and Michaelo! Trust you are both well. All the best to you and family for a Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year! Cheers, Corinne, Chloë and Patrizzio!

Thanks for your kind wishes and for thinking of us. We are lighting candles on only one end so far. May we all glide safely across the line into the unimaginable tableaux which lie ahead of us. We are dryly nestled between storms today and, our stocks replenished after my descent to the lower world, I listen to Mozart and watch the llamas calmly defoliate every tree they can get their big fat teeth on. Our best to all of our friends north of the border, and look forward to your next descent into our strange nation. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Hugs!!!

Hi Wine Lovers! Next item, (see above), for the "lower world"! Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!
