Aunt Leah's Elves Blues: Saturday, December 13th!

No metaphysician ever felt the deficiency of language so much as the grateful. -Charles Caleb Colton, author and clergyman (1780-1832)

Quite the light show!  The film sounds intriguing!  Had a dinner party with Dana's Dad, Dana, Kian and some o;d friends from Barriere days. .. Managed an old fashioned English feast with standing rib and Yorkshire puddings.  This will be the year for lots of company. We expect four groups for extended stays so far..  plus a few weekenders.   We better start saving..

Hi Brenda Louise! Grand snap of dinner with Dana and her Dad and Kian, et al. Did Picasso take the snap? Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: AL's Elf! Looking good!!!!! Hi Brenda Louise! Continued to be a busy after Saturday on tree lot! Fondestos, Patrizzio!

Today Cora Lee and I worked as Christmas Elves from 10:00 am-2:00 pm, (fueled by Tourtière, for me, for breakfast!),  at 57th and Granville, Aunt Leah's Tree Lot, and really had a wonderful time. Never really stopped the entire time we were on site, (Cora Lee on cash while I was busy selling trees, sawing trunks and loading cars.), so very pleased that sales were so brisk.

Must say that it was incredibly rewarding to see so many repeat customers and people who were more than delighted to support such a worthwhile cause. Just chatting, if only briefly, with a wide range of customers, was fun, in and of itself.

Ran a few errands on way home and then back to start preparation for Sunday's dinner. Once I'd helped Cora lee with some of the kitchen tasks I took off to make a "secret" Christmas shopping run. Once that mission was accomplished we sat down to dinner to start watching The Fall, on Netflix, "a BBC crime drama television series set in Northern Ireland and created, written and, in its second series, directed by Allan Cubitt.

The series stars Gillian Anderson as Superintendent Stella Gibson, a senior police officer investigating a string of murders in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Irish actor Jamie Dornan plays the serial killer she is pursuing." Don't mess with The Sisterhood if Stella is around! I wanted to watch all five episodes of the first series but Cora Lee would only stand for three. Might have to kick guests out early tomorrow night so that we can continue watching!

Hi Clete: I'd like to enter this snap for the Photo Contest Sheet. Chloë took it yesterday, (with my camera!), at the Vancouver lot. She might have entered an earlier one but this is the picture I'd like to use. Cheers, Patrizzio!
